LOVED it. All of...I loved this Soulstitched post. LOVED it. All of us have hard Christmases, blah ones, satisfying ones, happy ones, poignant ones. It’s so easy to forget this reasonable statement: “I think about how this beautiful Christmas season, which was once nothing but unconditional joy for me, is now threaded with sadness and loss as it would be for all but the very young . . .

And it was NOT a stupid pun!! It’s a wonderful pun: “This stupid pun on "Solstice" is going to be stuck in my head, and it's going to insert itself into the title of this theme, and then it's going to work like flypaper, and be stuck all over with little tied-up fly-sized parcels of pseudo-insightful wisdom about the soul and stitches”

I say: What the HELL is wrong with that??

And here is the most poignant statement and the most meaningful of gifts and when did anyone of us have more than this: “these scraps are all I've got.”

Thanks for this, Christina. Merry Christmas!

Elenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05153198304529926129noreply@blogger.com
